The Guesten Hall is a truly historic venue set within Avoncroft Museum’s open-air parkland. With its magnificent fourteenth century timber roof the Hall is a stunningly beautiful place for a wedding or civil partnership.

Weddings and Civil Partnership Ceremonies

If a Civil Ceremony only is required the Guesten Hall is licensed to hold weddings and civil partnership ceremonies, and has the capacity to accommodate 120 people seated. If you wish to have a ceremony and reception the ceremony will take place on The Weaver Gallery, above the hall, which seats up to 40 people, and the reception is in the Guesten Hall.

If you require seating for over 40 people for the ceremony, and wish to have a reception, the hall will need to be vacated for 1 hour to turn the room round. In this time we suggest you and your guests take this opportunity to have photos taken, explore the museum and grounds or take a ride on the pre-booked model railway.

The Hall offers up-to-date facilities and the grounds of Avoncroft, with its collection of over 25 historic buildings, provides a wonderful and unique photographic setting.

Blessings

Avoncroft can also offer you the chance to have your wedding/civil partnership blessed in the beautiful Victorian Mission Church, an exhibit at the Museum. The building is a ‘tin chapel’ from Bringsty, with a simple wooden interior which holds 100 people. The Blessing (Church of England) can easily be arranged through the Stoke Prior parish ministry.

Receptions

Receptions can be held in the Guesten Hall and Avoncroft Museum and you can chose from a list of our approved caterers or if you wish you are able to provide your own catering.

Receptions

Please note that for Weddings and Civil Partnership ceremonies couples are required to book their registrar themselves for the appropriate day and time, and that without the Registrar the ceremony cannot take place.
