Avoncroft and Education
Avoncroft's education service has a proven record of excellence. As a five times winner of the Sandford Award for Heritage Education, we have years of experience in offering relevant, inspirational and fun activities in a taught environment. Our bookable sessions are cross curricular and based on keystage relevant area’s of the National Curriculum. Please see Sessions Information below for further details.
Teachers are encouraged to arrange a free preliminary visit to help plan ahead and meet our education team.
Sessions for further and higher education groups are available on request. Avoncroft now offers exciting curriculum linked Outreach Sessions, where Avoncroft's Education Team can visit you in your school.
Museum Educational Sessions
Activity sessions last for approximately 45 minutes and can accommodate a maximum of 30 students per session.
Activity sessions are priced at £40.00 each. There is an additional £2.50 charge for admission to the Museum for students and teachers. The Museum requires that visiting schools have a minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 12 children, and offers this adult place free of charge.
Sessions are delivered within specific buildings, outdoors, or in our dedicated teaching centre using historical replica objects and materials to recreate the past.
