Cosies for Conservation Winners

On 8th June the 181 tea cosies that had been donated to the Museum for our Cosies for Conservation campaign went in to be judged.

Our three judges were  Alison Cooke, WI Chair of Creative Activities; Sue Stone, WI Vice Chair Board of Trustees and Leanne Wightman from Tea Magzine. The WI judging criteria for hand knitted items was used and the process took over an hour and a half.

Alison commented, “I have never seen such a wonderful array of tea cosies. There has been an astonishing number of entries and the quality of the knitting was wonderful.”
