Basket weaving

Tuesday 26th April, 10.00am – 4.00pm, £40 (£35 members)

Basket weaving can be traced back at least 4,500 years and was an important craft, as well as having artistic and cultural significance. Because the materials for basket weaving were all around our ancestors, they developed baskets for a very wide range of uses.

Try your hand at this ancient craft and make two functional, attractive items for your home. You will make your own personal creations and also gain skills in making willow baskets.

The course will be run by tutors from Willowcraft and Woodlands of Pershore who have many years’ experience of teaching willow-based crafts. All materials and lunch in our award-winning Tea Room are provided.
