Rag rug making

Wednesday 21st September, 10.00am – 1.00pm. Tickets £30

“Waste not want not” is an expression that many people used to hear. A rag rug was a classic example of this frugal attitude to life. Small strips of cloth woven into the hessian from a sack would make a colourful, cheap and hard wearing rug that was not only striking in colour but helped keep your feet warm.

Learn how to make your own rag rug, All materials and light refreshments provided.
